That day, three groups of travelers entered the same post town.
The first is Zatoichi, a blind iaai master with blond hair and a vermilion cane. He gets tangled up with yakuza on the street, but cuts them down in an instant. The second group is Gennosuke Hattori and his wife Oshino.
Hattori, who is a ronin but has great skills, is a man who gave up his position as a lord's assistant instructor for some reason. I was looking for a job as a bodyguard for my sick brother.
The third pair is the traveling geisha sisters Okinu and Osei. Their shamisen had a trick. The thread comes loose and can be used to strangle a person.
The post town is run by the Yakuza Ginzo family and the rich merchant Ogiya. Ichi enters the Ginzo family's gambling parlor and makes some money with Shinkichi, a player he met there.
Shinkichi is the nephew of Oume, a vegetable seller who has become a nuisance to the family because the city helped him.
At that time, the ronin Hattori was drinking at a bar called ``Tekiya''. Hattori shows off his sword skills to the yakuza who came to demand money from Tekiya's father and becomes his bodyguard. Hattori and Ichi meet for the first time at the same store.

Hattori becomes the Ginzo family's bodyguard. Okinu and Osei approach Ogiya, who is hanging out with Ginzo, thinking that he is one of his enemies.
Ichi plays a big role in a gambling house run by the Ginzo family - the threads of fate of the three people who came to this town on the same day for a reason eventually become intertwined. Zatoichi takes on a fierce battle with the Ginzo family and Hattori.
