RACERS - Racers - Vol.80 (Sanei Mook)
Brand: Sanei Shobo
Details: [Main contents]
For two issues, we will be featuring Honda's works machine, the NSR250, which ran in the 250cc class of the World GP from 1985 to 2009. This issue Vol.80 is "Car Body Edition".
It is true that NSR's pursuit of performance = high output was a universal theme throughout the series. As a result, we at motorcycle magazines have also focused on engine development, looking at past machines, race developments, and results. However, it is the car body technology that converts all the output of the powered-up engine into propulsive force.
Since the car is smaller and lighter than the Gohyaku, the framework and components are becoming more sophisticated. However, when we traced the history of the NSR250's body, we found that it was a constant pursuit of technology to improve steering stability and handling, and at the same time overlapped with that of Honda's street models from the same era.
