For two issues, we will be featuring Honda's works machine, the NSR250, which ran in the 250cc class of the World GP from 1985 to 2009. First of all, this issue Vol.79 is "Engine Edition".
We have previously covered the NSR250 in ``Racers'' in Vol. 21 (released in May 2013), but this is the first time that we have systematically explained the successive NSR250s in detail. The magazine features confidential materials that can now be made public, such as engine diagrams, performance curve diagrams, parts images, and spec lists, which will be published for the first time.
Also, the phantom prototype NSR250, which was never used in combat, was shelved and never left the company. We look back at HRC's struggles at the time, when they were focusing not only on 500cc but also 250cc, and we explain the elemental technology in detail.
