RACERS - Racers - Vol.74 (Sanei Mook)
Brand: Sanei Shobo
Details: [Main contents]
``Racers'' Vol.74 features the Yamaha YZR250 that raced in the 2000 World GP 250cc class. GP250 has been held as the middle class of the World GP. Currently, the name has been changed to "Moto2 class", but the contents of the machines are completely different between the former and latter. The former GP250 was contested by machines equipped with 2-stroke V-twin 250cc engines, and manufacturers such as Honda, Yamaha, and Italy's Aprilia were competing for factory prestige. By the way, Moto2 is currently a one-make 4-stroke 765cc made by British company Triumph. From this history of battles between factory machines and factory riders, we will take a detailed look at the two YZR250s that fought in the last fierce battle of the 20th century. Teammates Olivier Jacques and Maya Nakano drove two YZR250s and fought for the championship until the final race. Their YZR250s looked the same, but the detailed specifications and settings were completely different. This is a special feature that takes a look behind the scenes at the 2000 GP250 Yamaha Factory.
